Interesting....Really forgetting those things behind and pressing on

And Saul was consenting ...
Acts 8:1

This Saul, of course, would later become known as the Apostle Paul. The word, ‘consenting’ actually means, ‘voting’, implying that Saul was a voting member of the Sanhedrin, the Jewish Supreme Court.

This interests me because marriage was one of the requirements for a position on the Sanhedrin — and yet Paul wrote to the church at Corinth that it was good for the unmarried and the widows to remain in a single state — even as he was (I Corinthians 7:8). If Paul was married in Acts and single in I Corinthians — what happened to his wife? Some suggest she died — that he was a widower who chose to remain single in order to give himself more fully to ministry.

Much more probable, however, based upon the writings of early Church history, is that Paul’s wife left him. When he was converted, she walked out and never came back.

Either way, it’s interesting that Paul doesn’t tell the story. Truly, he practiced what he preached when he wrote: ‘Forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus,’ (Philippians 3:13-14).

If you’ve been hurt in the past, perhaps Paul can be an example to you today. I know it’s not easy, but Paul shows us the possibility of forgetting the past, pressing on, and seeing how the Lord can do something unique and special in your situation presently.

Today I woke up at about 645 and took a shower and got ready for the day, helped my nephew, Dylan, with his hw, cleaned my car inside and out very well, went and dropped something off to my mgr at work, came to school (and got a great parking spot btw) and had chapel and now I am in class 1 of 2 for the day, oh how I love getting stuff done! It feels great :) and now I still have the rest of my day ahead of me, and I am super excited for the day, but am starting to feel a little sleepy since I didn't go to bed till about 2 lol anyway, today is a great day, use your time wisely, get things done and spend time with Jesus :)

Art 5, 6, and 7...i think...

So...this is my color wheel....its not too good, im not proud of it at all, I know the colors aren't perfect.....This is also my Mr. Potato head...You can kind of see the square that I had to paint, the assignment was to pick a picture and paint over it using black and white to make the right shades to look the same, it was really hard, my favorite part is the mustache :)
The next one, with the hats, was a picture I took at my house and I had to draw it to a larger scale and then draw the reflections and what not using a sharpee.... anyway....here they are.... :)

O yea...and I have decided im not the best painter...for me, its way harder than anything I have done so far.

class. braces. michelle.

So here is a pic of Michelle and I in class, Jillian is sitting to my left. Anyway.....this is me, with braces, here I am. Michelle says I dont look bad. So my confidence level has gone up 10 points... lol jk Michelle. Anyway...yep. here I am.

Braces

So I finally got them, actually it wasn't that long of a process but actually getting them took 3 and a half hours yesterday. Nick went with me (he's so nice, he waited that whole time!)
Anyway I finally finished and they weren't hurting too bad, I went straight to work afterwards and worked 215 to close, a few hours in I began to feel the pain and today I'm feeling it too. :( it will be worth it in 2 years when I get them off, but for now I just want them off already, and I haven't even had them for 24 hours lol
